HRH Princess Zeina

Princess Zeina was born in Amman on May 12th 1988, and is the elder daughter of Mohammed Abdullah Shaban. She married Prince Rashid El Hassan in Amman in 2011 and they have two children, Prince El Hassan bin Rashid, born in December 2013 and Prince Talal bin Rashid, born in February 2016.

Princess Zeina was educated at the Amman Baccalaureate School and has a BSc in Economics from Royal Holloway College, London University, and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.

Princess Zeina qualified for and participated in the Athens and Beijing Olympic Games, where she was the flag bearer for Jordan at the opening ceremony. HRH is the winner of the Ladies Arab Cup, and the bronze medalist of the Pan Arab Games for Table Tennis in 2005. She was the runner up at the Asian Junior Championships in 2003 and winner of the Junior Arab Cup in Table Tennis also in 2003.

Princess Zeina was awarded the King Hussein Medal for Achievement in 2004, and was Jordan’s Athlete of the Year 2003.

Princess Zeina is bilingual in English and Arabic, and has conversational French and German.
